What does Kate Kelly have against state employees? Why does she want to cripple their ability to get a good job after state employment? One topic of focus for the media this session has been improving compensation for state workers. Everybody acknowledges that they are sorely underpaid, when compared to their private sector peers. So how does Kate Kelly solve the problem? By making it well-nigh impossible to capitalize on those underpaid years by moving to a job that values your experience. Typical Democrat solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. Hey! Let’s distort the job markets by needlessly regulating them! Nice work, Kate. Too bad nobody at the Mis-Statesman has half a brain to even come up with one of these questions. It doesn’t take a lot of thought, people. Unless you’re interested in shielding Dems from criticism…

What simple piece of information are you talking about? And open meeting laws don’t apply to private businesses, only government.

Seriously, you really think Richert is one of the most liberal people in journalism? Wow, you should start reading some more. And what propaganda are did he get from Minnick?

What’s your obsession with McClatchy’s stock price? Yea, it’s in the tank, like all newspaper companies. They own several dozen newspapers from what I understand, most of which are larger than the Statesman.

This blog keeps getting worse and worse. The writing is hardly readable, and the “points” make no sense.

It’s really too bad because the Statesman could use an intelligent, literate person holding their feet to the fire now and then. Disappointing.

I agree CYCLOPS. If I was a reporter at the Statesman I would ask how come Dan Pop still gets paid. He DOES NOT WORK!

When was the last time he wrote anything? The paper says he is supposed to write 2 columns a week and I have not seen jack squat from him.

Of course what he has written is only about GOP’ers.

I think most reporters at the Statesman would be happy to make a full salary just for following “hunches” and sporadically writing lies based on anonymous sources.

Maybe you can share why Popkey has been able to keep his job. I don’t no anyone behind the scenes that likes, or respects him. Even the Dems refer to him as a “dirty little bottom feeder”. So, if conservatives hate him and liberals don’t like, or respect him, does he have photos of his boss with a farm animal or what?

The one thing that is clear is that a civilized society can not exist with a biased media. It is the first sign of the loss of freedom and moral decay that awaits. I can’t understand why anyone would tolerate it, even if it swings to your side of the political arena. Any inteligent person would want only the truth from the media, not get a kick out of the relentless bashing and misinformation that destroys opposing members of our society. The scales of justice must swing evenly in our judicial system and in our media. Unfair, unequal and biased reporting by the media is no different than not giving someone a fair trial in court.

I am in favor of Senator Craig and think that the Idaho Staesman needs to apologize to them. I for one have stopped buying there paper and have for about 6 years as I am very mad about their reporting which is mostly false and stupid. they are so left field on every thing.
